First, a pivot hinge is fastened to the shower door at the top and the bottom which allows the door to swing out. Second, the rewards of having a pivot shower is the ability to open your shower from either the left or right depending on the location of the shower and the other bathroom items that are in close proximity to the shower.
Third, when dealing with anything water, one has to wonder about leakage. With a pivot shower, there is a bottom track and side jams that prevent water from leaking from the bottom or the sides.

There is also a way to make adjustments to the shower with pivots for outages from your tile or wall to ensure that your door closes and opens how and when you want it to with no issues. Lastly, the material used for the tack and are usually made of aluminum that is anodized so that corrosion is a thing of the past!

What Type and Size Shower does Pivoting Work With?

The great thing about pivoting shower doors is that they work around not only your design for the shower, but for your entire bathroom. Most bathroom doors range from 28” to about 30”. Unlike most tub enclosures or frameless showers, pivot hinges can provide a better verity of openings for sizes of showers.

What is a Hinge Shower and what can it do for me?

Much like the hinges you see on your doors in your home, shower hinges are similar in that aspect. The hinges can be attached to the wall for your shower door or can be glass to glass mounted. When a hinge is mounted on the side wall, it adds to the frameless look of your shower because the use of a header is not needed.
